Bec has been creating spirit-filled Medicine Drums, by special order, for over 20 years. Each drum is lovingly created in a sacred manner with gentle craftsmanship, heartfelt prayer and in relationship with the materials and Spirit. Her drums carry a deep sacredness and the "spirit of lightness and humour", which is part of Great Spirit's healing medicine.
While not Native herself, Bec has been honoured to create drums for many First Nations people. Regardless of our heritage, the drum reconnects us all to the pulse of all life - The Heartbeat of Mother Earth.
As the "steward" of your drum, you will also receive a 'Drum Creation Story'. Each story is a deeply personal journey honouring Nature's gifts and the drum's journey into life. Through the creative process with intuitive awareness and warm curiosity, the "nature of things" simply reveal themselves - Spirit speaks with heart through the natural world. We use the finest natural craft materials and hand work your drum to insure that your heartfelt creation will endure the passage of time with beauty and integrity. When a drum and drum stick are created, they resonate between the elements of the Natural World, the receiver, the maker and Spirit. Each drum comes with a naturally hand crafted drum stick made just for you. We personally source our special drum stick wood from journeys taken in the United States and here in Australia. Our drums are lightweight and more resilient to weather variations because of our method of tieing. We don not put padded handles on our drums, so that you feel the Heartbeat of Mother Earth. We offer choices of rawhide, drum ring wood and sizes. (see below) If you would prefer to create your own drum witinin the comfort of a wonderful group, Bec offers Medicine Drum Making Workshops on a regular basis.

We can special order Buffalo and Moose rawhide, 20" to 24" round hoops and various octagonal drum rings. When ordering, please specify your 1st and 2nd choice rawhide you would like for your drum (deer, horse, elk) and the size of the drum ring (below). Every effort will be made to offer you your first choice, however seasonal issues can sometimes effect supplies.
