"What happens to you does not matter; what you become through those experiences is all that is significant. This is the true meaning of life."
About Bec Nelson
I grew up in the land of Oregon timber, majestic mountains, wild rivers, Bigfoot and The Grateful Dead!
Since childhood, I have been deeply sensitive to the deeper truths behind other's feelings, words and thoughts. Long before a person would know within themselves, I would sense any disharmony between what they were expressing and what I experienced as true. I was continually drawn to Nature for its truth, as comforter, friend and teacher. Rivers and mountains, and all that Nature has to offer us, still makes my soul sing. My scientific curiosity, incredible life experiences and a ongoing quest for spiritual understanding have blessed me with a wealth of insights and wisdom into life, the soul and the sacred. My saving grace or inner Sacred Clown (quirky sense of humour as some have said) have allowed those journeys to be enriching rather challenging. My guiding values are Compassion, Freedom, Fun, Integrity and Honour. I am passionate about ancient Metaphysical and Alchemical Traditions, Indigenous Wisdom, Shamanism, Eco-psychology, Quantum Physics and Positive Psychology. These 'streams of knowledge' inspire me as healing and transformative forces for our souls growth. I am an educator, holistic coach and spiritual adventurer. I am a Certified Soul Coach® trained by Denise Linn offering programs and Soul and Past life Journeys, a Native Style Drum Maker and an Advanced Psych-K Practitioner trained by Rob Williams. I have additional trainings in Medicine Wheel Therapy, Australian Bush Flowers, Reiki, Rudolf Steiner Voice Work and other energetic healing modalities. I am author of 'Our Essential Nature®', featured in the award winning, 'Soul Whispers: Collective Wisdom from Soul Coaches Around the World'. I am honoured to have been a core team member for World Peace and Prayer Day in Australia with Chief Arvol Looking Horse - Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Woman Pipe Bundle, along with many other indigenous Elders from Australia, USA, South America and New Zealand. I have walked closely with the bundle for a long time. I am privileged to have participated in Ceremonies and been involved with First Nations people and issues for over 30 years. I have been honored and humbled with several names given by Indigenous Elders and been invited into community. In addition, I have over 35 years experience in small business and project management. I was honoured to be in the 1991 Who's Who in the World for unique contributions to United States aviation, through my role as airport manager and airshow director. And again, honoured in the 2011 Who's Who in Australia for contributions as a holistic coach and mentor. I am also co-owner of Native Journeys, offering authentic Native American and Aboriginal arts and crafts. Australia, The Land Down Under is now my home and I am currently a member of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, International Institute for Complementary Therapists and Society for Shamanic Practitioners.
